GENERAL COMMENTS ON PHOTOGRAPHY

My visual philosophy is to produce images nobody else envisions. I try to bring back images that another photographer would not visualize from my "minds eye". Strong color and strong graphics always appeal to me. Design, texture and spontaneity are key elements for all of my images and they must have passion. It is this passion that elicits a response from the viewer. Something must stop you to take a second look and this concept is important in my work.? Through photography I can communicate.? I like to take things that you maybe pass by every day and show you what you missed. The fascinating part of being a photographer is seeing every type of lifestyle and every type of environment. I've been around the world and have experienced the thrill of a fighter plane and the trauma of? a heart/lung/kidney transplant. I couldn't do those things in real life but as a photographer I've been there. People ask me if I separate my personal work from my client work and the answer is no. My goal in my own work is to satisfy myself and the goal for a client is to solve their problem with something that is visually stimulating while still ultimately satisfying myself. The irony is that if the average exposure takes 1/500 of a second, it means that my life's work was roughly produced in one second but that one second holds the memories and visions of a lifetime.
